Directions


	Q. How do I get to the Train Collector's clubhouse? A. It ain't easy, but the following directions may get you close:


	For you dudes having a GPS, here's the coordinates of our club house (and it really is a house): 92 deg 18 min 41 sec West Longitude 38 deg 54 min 43 sec North Latitude


	The picture at left shows the 450-ft driveway leading south from Grindstone Avenue to our clubhouse. This driveway is one-tenth of a mile east of the intersection of Grindstone Parkway (Route AC) and Rock Quarry Road. On the northeast corner of this intersection, you will see the Columbia Chinese Christian Church. Our clubhouse is within the grounds of Columbia's Rock Quarry City Park (see the park's sign at left foreground in picture?). 450 feet up the gravel road you can barely make out the clubhouse, which is a brownish brick ranch-style house.

		A gravel road will take you up to the west side of the house from Grindstone Ave. As you can see from the picture at left, the area adjacent to the house is paved. Park in this paved area or along the gravel part of the road if it's crowded back here. Enter through the door to the left of the garage doors and go across the room to stairs going down to our clubroom. Even though we don't keep anything worth stealing in there, the building has a serious burglar alarm system wired directly to the Columbia Police Dept. - so if you're early, wait for a club officer to arrive, unlock, and disable the alarm. If the door's open and lights are on though, come on down!

From I-70: Take the Providence Road exit, go south approximately 3.9 miles to Grindstone Parkway (Route AC) (at a traffic light). Turn left on Grindstone Parkway (you'll see a shopping center on your left) and go about 1.2 miles to the intersection with Rock Quarry Rd. (at stop light). Go another one-tenth of a mile east to our driveway; then turn right (south) into the drive and up to the club house.

From Highway 63: Exit 63 at the Route AC (Grindstone Parkway) exit approximately 3.1 miles south of I-70. Follow Route AC (Grindstone Parkway) west several miles until you see the Rock Quarry Park sign on your left (about 1/10 mile short of the stop light at the intersection of Grindstone Parkway and Rock Quarry Rd.). Turn left (south) into the drive and up to the club house.

From Stadium Blvd and College Ave intersection: South of Stadium Blvd, College Ave. turns into Rock Quarry Road. Turn south on Rock Quarry (or continue south across Stadium if you're headed south down College Ave.), bear leftish (and downhill) immediately south of Stadium, and go about 1.6 miles down a winding and tree encased Rock Quarry Road to the stop light at the intersection with Grindstone Parkway (at the Columbia Chinese Christian Church). Turn left (east) on Grindstone, go 1/10 mile, and turn right onto the road then proceed 450 feet up the road to our clubhouse.

From Business I-70 East: Go south on College Ave from Biz '70-east about two miles to the Stadium Blvd/College Ave intersection. Follow the directions, above, from the Stadium/College Ave intersection.
